PVP (Player vs Player)
The PVP can not only used in a triangular fight situation (see above) it can also take place on a voluntary basis. For this you must put yourself in the PVP status(press A ingame, then select Free-PVP-window (the last option in the Character Control with the crossed swords) and choose a color) There are different colored Capes, this means that you can only be attacked by those who do not wear the same color as you. This is due the affiliation of an imaginary party, which has no further importance. Again there is a special feature, the orange cape: this one is universal, so everyone can attack you and you can attack anyone, no matter what color of cape your enemy is wearing. In PVP you won't lose or earn any EXP. It's only meant to have some fun.
PK
Apart from the PVP everyone can get attacked by players who are not in the PVP-Status,when you're at least lvl20 or higher. If anyone should attack you, he goes in the PK mode. Then the name over his character turns to a purple color. In this state, he can get attacked by any player(even from player under lvl 20) since such direct attacks without cape are not allowed. After a few seconds without any attacks this PK mode will turn back to normal and in case he keeps attacking the PK mode will continue. If you get killed in the PK mode in the end he is a murderer. This is the worst situation that can happen to anyone in SRO.
Murder
When you're in murder status, you have a certain number of murder points, which you get after killing an innocent person (see above). While you are in murder status, you can get attacked by any player at any time, until you have brought the murder points to 0.
There are several ways to do this:- You kill mobs and loose a very small part of the murder points.
- You can be killed by other players, here you loose alot more points murder.
- You wait in a Town until your HP dropped to 0 and you will die. With this method you loose the most of your murder points.
For all alternatives except 1) you lose a lot of EXP and you can also drop random items from the inventory, so you should better stash all your items in your storage.
Mobs
There is a difference between aggressive and non-aggressive mobs, there are melee- and magicalmonster. The killing of a mob gives you gold, items and alchemy material (except D12). The colored names of a mob recognizes their difficulty. Blue and green are easy, normal is white/same LVL and orange/red is more difficult. After successfully killing a mob you also get EXP and SP.
There are basically 5 types of mobs, which you can encounter in the game.
There are:- Normal Mobs
- Champion Mobs
- Giants
- Elite
- Uniques
Normal mobs are self explaning.
Champion mobs are bigger than the normal mobs. They are looking a little bit different and they are always aggressive and slightly more difficult than the normal mobs.
Giant mobs are huge mobs of the same type have alot more HP and are slightly stronger and more difficult as the champion mob.
The Amount of EXP and SXP from killing champion and giant mobs are higher.
From a giant you will nearly gain the amount 10 times higher as from a normal mob.
Additionally, there are 3 types of party mobs that only spawn when you are with other players in an EXP Share Party. They have a huge amount of HP, we recommended to attack this mobs only in a party with more player.
